Happy Birthday Mema!

Today is Mema's birthday & I have to share a little conversation she had with Eli yesterday:

Me: Eli, did you know that tomorrow is Mema's birthday?

Eli: It is??

Mema: Yes, it is! Can you guess how old I will be?

Eli: 27!!!!

Mema: Noooo, can you guess again?

Eli: 80!!!!

Mema (while she & I laugh uncontrollably!): Nope! I will be 64 years old! (And then Grandad chimes in that he was closer with his second guess!)

We love you Mema & you are such a blessing to all who know you! You have such a big heart & love endlessly! We hope your 64th will be as wonderful as you 27th was! :)

ps: Today is also the anniversary of mine & Randy's first date. It has been 11 years since that wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Grandaddy!

Today is "Grandaddy out of town's" Birthday. Seriously, WHY didn't we name each Grandaddy something different? It gets very confusing at this house! "Which grandaddy?" is what i hear all the time! "Grandaddy out of town or Mema's Grandaddy?"

But today is Grandaddy's birthday & the boys have made a special little video just for you! We love you & hope you have a wonderfully special day! Miss you!

Tomorrow on Cinco de Mayo, Aunt Becca will the the official 3-0! Happy Birthday to you! We hope thirty is your best year yet! And enjoy the rest of that beautiful cake Sherri made for you- it was YUMMY!

Happy Anniversary.... sort of

Well, today is the anniversary of mine & Randy's first date- EIGHT years ago! I can't believe i remember this date for 8 years, but it is also his mother's birthday (HAPPY BDAY MEMA!) & i remember stopping off for a quick gift pick up during our date! (Such the sweet son that he is.) We went fishing (my first experience in a johnboat)... and then to dinner (where my fortune read "your future sits in front of you")... and we still didn't want the evening to be over, so then we hit a movie (28days- not a very good movie). I remember thinking (yes on the first date) that i could SO marry this man! He was such a gentleman (he actually asked if he could kiss me & not on the first date!) & incredibly sweet (and the nicely defined jawline & blue eyes didn't hurt) & lo & behold, i DID marry him 15 months later. So, here's to you, babe, Happy Anniversary...sort of! I love you!

Get Well Soon, Grandma Tee!

So here we are this morning (still in our jammies) trying to send you (grandma tee) get well wishes. It was harder than it looked, but since you are still in the hospital, it was the best we could do. Although, Jackson did pray for you last night!

Take 1: Ummm, Eli don't blink..... Take 2: Jackson, hold the paper straight!
Take 3: (Eli wouldn't hold his at this point) Fine, Jackson, hold them both up so Grandma can at least read them!
