Hubba! Hubba!!

Just for everyone's information here- my child is a brick! He went in for his 18 month check up this morning & is weighing in at 28lbs, 4 oz. He is a little over the 75%percentile for his weight & right at the 75% mark for height & head circumference. At least he is proportionate! It was warm the other day & i had to dig in a tote of Jackson's old clothes for shorts for Eli to go out & play in. Well, i came up with a pair of 2T shorts that Jackson wore to the hospital when i had Eli (they matched a cute little dumptruck big brother shirt). Eli pulled them off beautifully & just for the record the shirt he had on with it was a 3T! Granted, these clothes have been well worn & shrunk a bit i am sure, but it was crazy to see my "baby" wearing clothes that Jackson was wearing literally 18 months ago! (And J has grown over 4 inches in that time frame!) Here is Eli in the outfit (did you ever doubt that i would get a picture of it?!)

I Love my Bike

Jackson hasn't gotten much chance to ride his new bike with the cold weather & all the sickness floating around, so this weekend, he got out there & rode up & down our walkway. He was thrilled. Pretty soon, we will need to venture out to the park & ride around the trails...

What a fashion statement here.. helmet on, baggy short sleeve shirt, fleece pants- one leg up, one leg down, & crocs. Wow!

Men at Work..

I just had to post these pictures because they make me laugh so much. This must be one of the joys of boys because it is truly amazing to watch how boys are so hardwired to do boy things! Uncle Jeff got Jackson a little black & decker pretend tool set for christmas & it has been the hit of the house. Jackson uses it daily to measure & saw around the house, asking "what needs to fix?" What i want to say is "just about everything! Have at it my friend!" But i usually point out some random part of the house to work on. Well, of course little Eli watches it all & has now decided to get in on the action. And on that note, let me give a great shout out to Jackson for SHARING!! Check out all these cute pictures. Emerging from the Flu

Well, as you all probably know, the Moss house was hit with the flu last week & it was pretty miserable. Jackson started it all off yet had the mildest case of it. I took him into the Pediatrician on Tuesday morning with a hunch after a low grade fever & complaints of his legs hurting on Monday. Sure enough, that little swab test came back positive. And then 36 hours later, Mom & Dad were laid out with it! Luckily, Eli did not get it (the doctor gave him Tamiflu to prevent it)! We felt like terrible parents, letting the kids do pretty much whatever they wanted around the house as long as it was safe & quiet! Let's just say, they got enough tv for a whole month i am sure! Here are the only pics from last week which was mostly a fog.....

Jackson did pretty well the whole time as long as he had Motrin... He even wanted to go out to play for a bit....

Eli had no worries all week (except maybe a few "when are you going to feed me?" thoughts!)... Randy didn't pick up his Mandolin for literally 4 days... (that is bound to be a record...) This was the first day he felt like a little jam session on the porch (poor little bags under his eyes!)

And i am not sure he brushed his hair for a few days either.. Hee Hee

Bunk Beds!

Finally..... we have gotten Jackson some bunk beds! I have searched on Craigslist for literally months to get a good set for a low price & finally they are here. People are QUICK on that website to get hot items fast! I even tried to get some literally less than an hour after they were posted & they were gone. But i am now glad that we got these because they are really nice & seem very strong (which we will certainly need with two growing BOYS!). We got lucky too because they match the furniture in Jackson's room perfectly. The plan is this: Put Jackson in the bottom bunk for now & then when Eli transitions out of the crib in a year or so, move Jackson to the top & Eli will transition to the bottom bunk. And then PRONTO- a free bedroom for whatever we need it for (playroom, new baby room?, spare bedroom, etc). Here are some photos of Jackson in his new bed which he is so excited over....

On a few special occasions (i.e. ONE nap time), i let him nap on the top bunk, just to appease him & get him down! He looks so little in these BIG beds! (excuse the non rotated pic- i am still learning this blogger site!).

He slept so soundly that day... and gave me NO TROUBLE about going down (i'll have to try that out again soon!)

Starting over....

Well, i have decided to start over with a new blog for the boys website rather than the babyhomepages.net site. This way, all i have to do is post my stories, add pictures in with the post & i am done! Babyhomepages was easy too, but i like having the pictures to go along with the story rather than on different pages. I am a scrapbooker at heart, so telling the story & having pirctures together just makes all well with the world! I hope you will like the new site too, and in the meantime, www.babyhomepages.net/mossboys will still be up for like 5 months i think since i pay 6 months in advance. You can go back there to look at old pictures & stories if you wish.... Enjoy!
